THE doors are finally open at the new $3.15 million Carine Hall after major delays when the original contractor, CPD group went bankrupt last year.

The new halls will be home to 10 local clubs and was completed with the help of a $858,568 state government grant.

Clubs using the hall include Northern Suburbs Dog Training and Obedience, Glendale Little Athletics, Hamersley Rovers Soccer Club, Hamersley Rovers Junior Football Club, Hamersley Carine Amateurs Football Club, Carine Junior Footbal Club, Carine Ball Club (includes softball, baseball and teeball clubs), and the Carine Netball Club.

Stirling Mayor Giovanni Italiano officially opened the club on Monday night and aid it was rewarding to finally be able to do so.

“It has been a long time coming and was not without its challenges, however it was certainly worth the wait and now all the clubs can get on with utilising the building for all their needs and focusing on their sports,” he said.

“Special thanks went to all the user groups and the Carine Hall Management Committee for their patience during the 18-month building period.”
